Abstract:
In the fast-paced world we live in today, information is always at our fingertips. Real-time information equips, empowers and guides us in navigating not just to where we want to be but even in everyday decisions.
Data is essential to help us understand how populations change, how needs evolve, and how pockets of community interact as they move around Singapore. Data-driven insights are then pivotal in stimulating real change in systems and policies which translate to a better travel experience for all on the ground.
A.P Gopinath Menon, Transport Engineering Consultant, will share more on familiar traveller information systems and how they have evolved to keep pace with the challenges of travel in the 21st century. Peter Quek, Chief Information Officer at Land Transport Authority of Singapore, will discuss how data from platforms can be effectively utilised to empower the public and private sectors in moving people and goods, co-creating travel moments and enhancing travel experiences.
